Teacher of maths job summary

The Hewett Academy is seeking an inspiring, innovative, and dedicated teacher of maths to join our team; a teacher who shares our belief that all pupils have the right to succeed and have access to the very best education.
You will deliver a broad, balanced, and inclusive curriculum for students and support the maths curriculum area. You’ll monitor and support students’ progress and development and contribute to raising standards and attainment, motivating and challenging students to achieve their very best. As part of this role you will have the opportunity to get involved with a range of extracurricular activities and mathematical enhancement activities such as the maths challenge, direct instructions mathematics, and AS extension activities for our most able Year 11 students.
You will be working as part of a team of mathematics experts including teachers from Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form who work closely with our maths team. You will be able to engage with the mathematics network across Inspiration Trust to access CPD as well as visiting other Inspiration schools to observe maths teaching and share exceptional practice.
