Teacher of Maths job summary

About the role

To deliver excellent teaching of our mastery-based mathematics curriculum to scholars of all abilities across Years 7-11 initially, and in Sixth Form. We are looking for candidates who know what it takes to succeed in undergraduate study in their discipline, in order that they can support the planning and delivery of a highly academic curriculum in maths.

This is not an exam focused role, (although an awareness of the GCSE and A Level specifications is highly valuable); it is a role for those who love the academic discipline of mathematics and are reflective and passionate enough to develop our young people into subject experts.

We are situated across two iconic sites on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and our Secondary phase is now heavily oversubscribed. We are looking for a qualified teacher status with a good honours degree in a relevant subject with evidence of ongoing professional development.

Excellent classroom practitioner with demonstrable experience of raising standards and successful delivery of the curriculum across KS3-4.

Commitment to research informed pedagogy with relentlessly high expectation of staff and scholars.

Excellent subject knowledge with an ability to draw meaningful and actionable interpretations from data.

Motivate, inspire and develop others.
