The thought of coming back after a break was less overwhelming and staff say they feel more relaxed, recharged and ready for whatever the next nine working days bring! Plus they save on travelling time and expense and have a little more flexibility.

We are seeking an inspirational, innovative and charismatic teacher looking to join a happy, motivated and experienced team of Maths specialists. Maths is a successful department, constantly striving to meet the needs of our students, and has a commitment to continuous school improvement.

Your love for the subject will be infectious to our students and you will continue to develop the strong hold our school community has with Maths. You will have autonomy in your teaching and be provided with an outstanding CPD package for personal development.

As a committed and innovative teacher, you can look forward to teaching KS3 and KS4, with opportunities in KS5 for the right candidate to teach A Level Maths and Further Maths.

This role represents an opportunity to join a supportive and diverse department at an exciting time of development at The Highcrest Academy.

In addition, you will join our Inclusion team as Head of Learning to our Year 7 students (from September 2025), line managing an Assistant Head of Learning, as well as a tutor team. As a team, you will ensure all students get the best possible pastoral care throughout their time at Highcrest, sharing responsibility for the learning and personal development of all students. You will also work closely with our Heads of Department, moving through the years with your year group to ensure they maximise their potential.

This part of your role includes leading and monitoring a tutor time programme, organising and monitoring Life Lesson, as well as taking a strategic lead to ensure the students display the highest level of attendance, punctuality and behaviour throughout school.
