What does this role involve?  


Carleton High is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual looking to join us as Year Leader. The Year Leader role is a middle leader and is pivotal to ensure a year group’s academic attainment and progress. Additionally, you will deliver high-quality Maths lessons to engage and inspire students to learn about and understand the importance of Maths in every day life.  


This is an opportunity to join one of the highest performing, true community, cross phase Multi-Academy Trust’s in the region. You will be integral to our middle leadership group and delivering on our vision of providing a first-class education to all students, so that they make outstanding progress and get the chances in life they deserve.  


Some of your key duties will include:  


  • Lead students and colleagues to ensure outstanding academic outcomes for our young people.  
  • Identifying barriers to student learning and looking for ways to further enhance their provision. 
  • Supporting on key events and personal development within a year group.  
  • To support the form tutors, to ensure high standards, expectations and delivery of content.  
  • Ensuring high quality teaching, learning and achievement for all students.
