Aboutthe Role
Thornhill Academy, part of Consilium Academies Trust, is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Maths to join our successful and improving Maths department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school on a rapid improvement journey, recently graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted (May 2024), with a new state-of-the-art school building due to begin construction in April 2026.
We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire students, deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE, and contribute to the continued improvement of outcomes within the Maths department.

Thornhill Academy is an 11-16 secondary school located close to Sunderland City Centre, with over 600 students. Our school is proud of its diverse community, with students from 14 different ethnicities and 35 languages spoken. - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Ability to teach Maths at KS3 and GCSE
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom practice
