Skills, Knowledge and Aptitude

Ø Good quality honours degree in relevant subject and QTS

Ø Commitment to safeguarding of children

Ø Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Maths curriculum at all Key stages

Ø Excellent interpersonal skills

Ø Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken, written and visual form

Ø Strong ICT skills used to enhance learning

Ø The ability to effectively teach across the ability range.

Ø Able to organise work and meet deadlines

Ø Effective classroom management

Ø Able to motivate young people through high quality relationships

Ø Ability to effectively use a variety of assessment and review techniques

Ø Able to contribute ideas and work as part of a team

Able to plan sequences of learning effectively based upon strong pedagogical knowledge.

Experience

Ø Has successfully taught Maths to students of secondary school age

Ø Evidence of student progress
