Washington Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and committed Teacher of Maths to join our growing and inclusive school community. About the Role
As a Teacher of Maths, you will:
- Deliver high-quality Maths teaching across KS3 and GCSE
- Plan engaging lessons that maximise progress for learners of all abilities
- Set high expectations for behaviour, learning and achievement
- Assess, track and monitor student progress to inform teaching
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement
- Play a full part in the wider life of the school, including pastoral responsibilities and enrichment opportunities
You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure all students are supported to achieve their full potential.
About You
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
- Has strong, up-to-date subject knowledge in Maths
- Can inspire, motivate and challenge students of all abilities
- Is committed to inclusive education and high standards for all
- Works effectively as part of a team and builds positive relationships with students, staff and families
- Demonstrates resilience, professionalism and a genuine passion for teaching
