What skills and experience we're looking for

Hetton Academy are seeking to recruit a Teacher of Maths to join the team. We are at an exciting stage on our journey since joing the Trust in 2022. This year we celebrated our best ever set of exam results and rapid improvement across all areas has been a rewarding outcome. The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Set high expectations which inspire and motivate our young people to fulfil their potential.
  • Demonstrate the drive and skill to raise standards of students' attainment and achievement through good subject and curriculum knowledge.
  • Monitor and track student progress within their classes. Adapt teaching to respond to strengths and needs of pupils.
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment and fulfil wider professional responsibilities.
