St Mary’s Catholic School is a founding member of the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust, established in September 2021. This post represents an ideal opportunity for an ambitious candidate to assume the leadership of a core subject area across all key stages.
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher of Maths to join our team and teach across the age and ability range up to and including KS4. Maths, Further Maths and Core Maths are taught at KS5.

The Quality of Education and Behaviour & Attitudes are graded outstanding.
At St Mary’s we work tenaciously to ensure that maths an enjoyable, interesting and worthwhile experience for all pupils. Maths and Further Maths are popular and successful subjects at A level with pupils regularly going on to study Maths or related subjects at university, including Russell Group and Oxbridge destinations.
We take our shared values of Love-Respect-Flourish to the heart of our ethos for pupils and staff. Whether you are an ECT or an experienced teacher, you will be part of a school which has a tremendously talented, committed, creative, and innovative staff; parents who are supportive; and students who are eager to learn, well behaved and motivated to succeed. We have a strong record of supporting ECT’s and staff are passionately committed to developing staff and managing workload to ensure that colleagues enjoy their work and recognise St. Mary’s as an almost-uniquely positive place to teach and enjoy their careers. As our recent (October 2024) OFSTED noted, “The energy, determination and tenacity of school leaders and the Trust are bringing about effective and sustained improvements for pupils”.
