If you wish to contribute to our success, we are seeking experienced candidates with the required vision, drive, and passion to fill the post of a qualified Teacher of Mathematics.

A degree qualification or relevant qualification.

Qualified Teacher Status or working towards qualification.

Evidence of continuous professional development.

EXPERIENCE

Track record of sustained and effective teaching.

Successful delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.

Innovation & creativity to engage, enthuse & progress learners.

Partnership and team working.

Ability to teach maths to KS3 and KS4.

Ability to deliver effective and outstanding learning and teaching in the classroom.

Ability to deliver the highest standards of classroom and behaviour management.

Knowledge of curricula, specifications and assessment criteria in science.

Ability to prioritise conflicting demands.

Ability to set clearly articulated targets, to track progress and adopt strategies towards achieving them.

ICT skills to deliver engaging lessons and monitor pupil progress effectively.

Ability to communicate effectively, articulately and sensitively with a range of groups and individuals.

A good attendance and punctuality record

Excellent time management organisation

High Expectations of self and professional standards

Ability to provide pastoral support to young people in a form group setting.

Preston Muslim Girls High School is an ‘Outstanding’ comprehensive, Voluntary Aided, Muslim Girls’ school, situated in the midst of the community, close to the city centre. It was graded Outstanding in both of its inspections, Section 5 and Section 48.

The school has the highest P8 within the authority and is ranked 9 th nationally. This demonstrates the high expectations and performance of all within the school.
