What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you an exceptional educational practitioner with successful behaviour management techniques looking for a new and dynamic role in a different environment? The Redhill Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join our two Inclusion centres based in Nottingham and Derbyshire. We are recruiting for a teacher of KS3 and KS4 mathematics to develop curricular content and deliver mathematics to students of the Trust, who are being educated away from their regular Trust schools for short periods of time. Delivery of curricular content will primarily be to small groups rather than full mainstream size classes and occasionally in a 1:1 setting. To be successful in this role you will be:
- Able to teach full range of ability 11-16 (Mathematics)
- Able to create an excellent climate for learning within teaching area.
- Able to use a range of strategies to promote learning.
- Able to manage and encourage good behaviour.
- Able to develop positive and meaningful relationships with students.
- Able to make appropriate use of ICT for learning.
- Understanding of how to use data to inform planning and improve students’ performance.
- Understanding of a range of assessment for learning approaches, including grades where appropriate
- Able to communicate with students, parents and carers about pupil’s progress.
- Able to travel between two sites (Nottingham and Derbyshire) on alternate working days.
- Able to teach full range of ability 11-16 (Mathematics)
- Able to develop best practice through wide range of imaginative approaches.
- Engaged with developments in teaching and learning strategies to raise achievement.
