What skills and experience we're looking for

We wish to appoint an outstanding Maths teacher as Second in Department. The post holder will work with the Head of Department and the team to enhance and develop the teaching of Maths across the School. The Second in Department will also take a lead role in developing the teaching and learning of either Key Stage 4 and 5.

The successful candidate must be highly motivated, demonstrate continuous reflection and a commitment to self-improvement. They must be willing to actively participate in the co-curricular life of the department and that of the school. The candidate should expect to teach across the full range of ages and abilities, delivering excellent lessons and working to develop the provision offered for the students.

This position is to full time, permanent and is available from 1st September 2023.

Richard Lander School is a popular school, over subscribed in several year groups. We have 1495 students on roll and this number is growing.
Mr Steve Mulcahy, is our Headteacher and has been since 2008. The building and grounds are part of a PFI contract and are maintained to a very high standard.
