The Governors of Holy Trinity School wish to appoint a dynamic, forward looking candidate to post of Teacher of Maths. This post presents a good opportunity for either a newly qualified or more experienced practitioner to join a successful department, and to develop their career in a good school.

Applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to the teaching of Maths. Those expecting to be paid at the upper end of the given pay range will need to evidence how that is merited in their application. We require practitioners who have the enthusiasm, skill and ability to make a positive contribution to this motivated and successful team. The successful candidates will be committed to teaching across the 11-18 range. Experience of, or the potential to teach at A level is essential. A second subject is desirable. Applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to excellent teaching and learning; to securing good or better outcomes for students; to developing student potential and skills from KS3 onwards, and to promoting the study of the subject at A Level.

In addition to teaching your primary and secondary subjects across ages 11 to 18 there is an expectation that you may teach other subjects as directed in order to facilitate the delivery of the curriculum. Relevant support will be offered.
We offer a starting salary and salary progression in line with the school’s policies on Pay and Professional Development & Review; a mentoring programme for NQTs; a comprehensive induction and a good programme of CPL. We also operate an extensive coaching network to share good practice and we engage all teaching staff in the TEEP programme to enhance our teaching and learning in the classroom. We support, empower and challenge staff to make a real difference in raising standards and have many examples of staff that have fast-tracked their career.

The school is an easy commute via public transport from Brighton, and from other parts of East or West Sussex and from Surrey and many staff operate car share schemes.

We are seeking candidates who will commit to upholding our values and ethos as a faith school; however applicants do not need to be a practising Christian.
