Teacher of Maths job summary
We are looking to appoint an excellent teacher for our Maths department, someone who can inspire students across the age and ability range to achieve the best possible outcomes through receiving the highest quality teaching.
The maths department is highly supported and praised in our most recent OFSTED report February 2019. The quality of the provision and the curriculum in maths was also praised. You will be joining a highly ambitious team that sets high standards for all in their care. The department is staffed by subject specialist so as such provides an excellent developmental environment for the right person to learning and develop as a classroom practitioner. We place a great deal of emphasis on the development of the whole child so involvement in extracurricular actives with maths and outside is something we would encourage.
The person appointed will be well supported through our teaching and learning coach, a well-established professional studies programme and through a comprehensive induction process. So if you feel you do not have the right skill yet then we will get you there, whether that’s in subject knowledge, classroom management or time management, we will support you.
We are a school that have a desire and understanding of how to succeed and provide an environment that is stimulating to students and staff alike. We understand that this can only be achieved by investing in our staff and ensuring they are supported in their own professional development. We have high expectations of staff, as we do students. So if you are someone who wants to develop as a professional and have a real impact on individuals then we are the place for you.
You will be joining a highly skilled staff, who are supportive, show determination and resolve. We have a desire to continue our journey to being the best we can be, we are true believers in ‘Better never stops’ as it is the continual development that makes us what we are. We are also a school where team work and enjoyment is central to our success as it is these that keeps us going when times are tough.

The Beaconsfield school is a co-educational secondary school in Buckinghamshire with 870 students, a growing Sixth Form and just fewer than 100 staff.
As a school we are creative in our curriculum and we treat each child as an individual; because of this, learning and progress is at the centre of everything we do. We work towards making the selective system irrelevant.
We want every student who attends the school to reach their full potential academically. We also put great value on extra-curricular clubs and activities. During any one week there are over 50 clubs or activities running for students. We believe that this complements their academic studies, helps them to develop into well rounded individuals and enables them to make a positive contribution to the community.
We have wonderful facilities including a purpose built drama studio, 2 Apple Mac suites, a ratio of 1 computer to every 2.5 students, interactive whiteboards in each classroom, specialist technology classrooms and a sports hall. We are a well-equipped school that gives our students every opportunity to engage in their learning. Our school environment is maintained to the highest standard and students are expected to respect this at all times.
