What the school offers its staff

Do you want to work in a school that is friendly, supportive and close-knit, but whose ambitions for our students are not limited by our size?

Are you excited by the opportunity to help a school move from being a Good one (widely praised in our 2017 and 2022 Ofsted inspections), to one that is recognised as Outstanding in all areas?

If so, The Wensleydale School is the school for you.

We are situated in the heart of the picturesque Yorkshire Dales, a spectacular place to live and work. Wensleydale is a happy place in which students and teachers expect to treat one another with respect. We are fiercely ambitious for our students, care deeply about all aspects of their success and value everyone’s unique differences.

In debating, we compete against leading independent schools in national finals. We are very proud of our successes on the sports field, taking home trophies from many of the local sporting competitions. Our enrichment activities and trips are the envy of other schools.

We are not just looking for an individual who can inspire in the classroom, but someone who can add to our strong sense of community by embracing the possibilities we offer.
