from becoming an integral part of the Ernesford family. We are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher and leader as a temporary Head of Mathematics for a maternity cover with a responsibility for

overseeing the continued development of the subject with the possibility of a permanent TLR when the maternity cover is finished. The post is available from January 2026. 

The right candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant specialist qualifications and experience 
  • Strong organisational skills
  • A good understanding of the curriculum and assessment requirements for Maths
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning to ensure all learners progress and achieve to a high standard in preparation for examinations
