Loreto St Albans is an 11-18 girls’ academy recognised in October 2024 by OFSTED as outstanding in the four key areas. With the support of our enthusiastic and accomplished staff our students achieve excellent results, and the Progress 8 performance measure has regularly placed Loreto in the top 5% of schools in the country. The school is oversubscribed and has earned an excellent reputation for discipline, pastoral care and academic standards.

We are seeking an outstanding Teacher of Media (with English as a second subject) who has the ability to teach at both KS4 and KS5. The successful candidate will deliver lessons that develop deep literary understanding, strong analytical writing and confident media literacy. Students will be guided to analyse complex texts, construct sophisticated arguments and produce high-quality practical coursework across film, audio, print and digital media. The ability to inspire curiosity, support high attainers and enable all learners to engage confidently with both language and media is essential. Experience in applied, vocational or technical media awards is desirable.
