Working with Leigh Academies Trust: As of September 2019, our Trust is comprised of 25 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 13 primaries and 1 special) educating over 15,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff. We also have three further academies in development phase, due to open between September 2020-2021. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway. In addition, the Trust is responsible for one of the region’s biggest initial teaching training providers and a large teaching school.

Teacher of MFL job summary
If you are an ambitious and enthusiastic Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages, we have a truly unique and exciting opportunity to join a successful academy which offers excellent career development programmes. We are looking for an MFL Teacher to join our team as soon as possible to deliver Spanish and French from Key Stage 3 to 4. The role is offered on a permanent, full time basis and we're looking for someone with prior experience in teaching both languages.
Longfield Academy is part of the DfE MFL Hub project led by Rachel Hawkes and her team at the University of York and in partnership with the NCELP (National Centre for Excellence in Language Pedagogy), along with three other academies in the Leigh Academies Trust. Working with us provides you with access to high quality, ready to use CPD in your classroom and to take part in a national project on practice and research, which has the aim of raising GCSE uptake. This initiative offers superb career development.
