With very strong departmental results, and a friendly team of dedicated teachers, the department is committed to broadening the horizons of all students andsmart working practices.Pre- and post-pandemic, we have run trips abroad each year, in addition to a number of visits closer to home, such as to the BFI or French institute (within walking distance). Over the past 5 years, several students have gone onto study languages at Oxford, with programmes as varied as Spanish and Arabic, French and Italian, and Classics with English.
