What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a passionate and talented Part-Time Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages, with a specialism in French and the ability to teach German, to join our successful and supportive Languages department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team that is committed to fostering a love of languages and delivering excellent outcomes for all students. You will inspire students through engaging and high-quality lessons, promoting confidence and enthusiasm for language learning.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a track record of strong outcomes in MFL
  • Have strong subject knowledge in French, with the ability to teach German
  • Be able to teach across the full age and ability range, including Key Stage 4
  • Deliver engaging, inclusive, and well-structured lessons that inspire a love of languages
  • Be committed to evidence-informed teaching and continual professional development
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative and high-performing department
  • Use assessment effectively to support progress and raise attainment
  • Have high expectations for all students, ensuring every learner is supported to succeed
  • Be organised and able to manage the demands of a part-time role effectively
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working well with colleagues, students, and families
  • Share the school’s vision and values, with a commitment to providing an excellent education for all students
