The Pingle Academy is an 11-19 co-educational, comprehensive school, became an academy in May 2017 and joined The de Ferrers Trust. Our oversubscribed academy is the academy of choice in the local area and enjoys an excellent local reputation.

Modern Foreign Languages Faculty Information
Who are we?
- A group of specialist teachers able to offer French and Spanish to A-Level standard.
- The team comprises experienced, inspirational subject teachers and examiners.

- We regularly support ITT and ECT students and we embrace CPD to ensure that our teaching is the best it can be.
What do we offer?
- All students study either French or Spanish at KS3.
- There is healthy uptake for GCSEs in both languages.
- Our GCSE results are excellent and a testament to the dedication, drive and determination of the team. Results are strong in all skills, with speaking being a particular strength.
- We currently offer A-Level Spanish and are determined to develop this offer further moving forwards

The Candidate
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of MFL with an infectious passion for the subject to join us here at The Pingle Academy. You will be able to teach a combination of French and Spanish confidently at KS3. It would be beneficial if you could offer French and/or Spanish to A-Level standard.
You will be an excellent classroom practitioner, who is committed to CPD and furthering your own pedagogical and subject knowledge. You will demonstrate understanding of the clear link between excellent planning and great behaviour, engagement and progress for students. You will be committed to ensuring the very best outcomes for our students and you will be passionate about your subject and seek to keep the profile of Languages high within the Academy. You will also support our extra curricular offer, including trips and cultural experiences.

The Pingle Academy is a successful and well-respected comprehensive school which became an academy in May 2017 as part of Affinity Learning Partnership. We currently cater for 1429 students aged 11–19 and have been over-subscribed for the past five years. The academy enjoys an excellent reputation.
Our academy is truly inclusive and includes Enhanced Resource Sections for students with mild learning difficulties and students with more complex needs. In addition, we have our own alternative provision, which caters for a small number of students who find mainstream classes challenging.
