Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages job summary

We are seeking to appoint either a full-time or part-time, outstanding teacher of Modern Foreign Languages whose specialism is Spanish but additional French is an advantage. Our students study either Spanish or French in Years 7 to 9, with many continuing to study at GCSE and A-level. We are looking for an excellent teacher who is ambitious for all our students, is passionate about modern foreign languages and who would welcome the chance to flourish in a dynamic area, with the skills and passion to help develop the department and work as part of our committed team.

We offer you:

  • Supportive Culture: We value collaboration, professional growth, and wellbeing. Our staff benefit from strong coaching and a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
  • Professional Development: We invest in your future with tailored CPD opportunities, leadership pathways, and access to the latest teaching strategies.
  • Innovative Approach: Our curriculum is dynamic and designed to inspire curiosity and achievement. We encourage creativity and innovation in the classroom.
  • Community Spirit: Holmer Green Senior School is more than a workplace: it’s a community. We work closely with families and celebrate the success of every student.
  • Excellent Facilities: Modern classrooms, specialist resources, and a commitment to technology-enhanced learning

We offer 8 staff training days (not the 5 you find in most schools), a two-week October half term and professional development of a high standard. We take our staff well-being seriously and offer weekly activities, like team sports and a brand new fitness suite.

If you are committed to making a difference and want to join a school that values hard work, kindness, and passion for education, we would love to hear from you.

The school reserves the right to appoint before the closing date should a suitable candidate become available.

Holmer Green Senior School is committed to the welfare and safeguarding of all its students and therefore all appointments are made subject to satisfactory Enhanced DBS, qualification and pre-employment checks.

As part of the shortlisting process, we will carry out an online search (including social media) as part of our due diligence on the shortlisted candidates. This may help identify any incidents or issues that have happened, and are publicly available online, which the school might want to explore with the applicant at interview
