Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish/French) job summary
We are currently looking to appoint a passionate and motivated MFL specialist to join our Communications Faculty. The school is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted following an inspection in April 2023. We continue to strive for excellence, both academically and personally, for our children and young people.
French and Spanish are both thriving subjects at Fitzharrys. Both are popular at GCSE, with numbers increasing each year. All students study French in Year 7, before taking up Spanish in Year 8. Students also study Mandarin in year 7. Students enjoy a varied curriculum with a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities to help students embed their learning. Our Languages team is enthusiastic, outward-looking, and our evidence-based approach keeps up to date with the latest research and CPD. We have strong links with other MFL departments in the local area, including state and independent schools, and with the Oxford University Department for Education.
You will be joining a well-resourced and creative department, with excellent levels of collaboration between teachers.
