We wish to appoint an innovative teacher to join our successful Music Department from January 2024. This is a part-time post working 1 day a week.

The successful candidate will be a pro-active, flexible and enthusiastic professional with the innovation and commitment to teach Music. You will be an experienced user of Apple Mac systems and have knowledge and skills in multi-track recording. You will also be an effective classroom teacher with the ability to raise achievement of all students along with the commitment to develop and run weekly extra-curricular activities for students.

You will support extra-curricular activities including a calendar of concerts, assemblies and public performances.

Music is very successful at Prendergast School with a large uptake at GCSE and A Level students progressing to study Music at university. During the year there is a programme of concerts and assemblies and there is a Music scholarship for 10% of Year 7 applicants each year.

The successful candidate will be joining a very strong Creatives Faculty who enjoy working together to develop a love of learning in our students.

Applications from ECTs are also welcome as the school has a strong ECT training and support programme.
