Established in 1632, Sir John Leman High School is steeped in history and has produced many generations of well-educated young people. The school has a strong emphasis on values and a relentless focus on improving learning which is driving up performance in all aspects of our school. 

We are looking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of Music to ensure the excellent curriculum outcomes for our students.  This role is being offered on a part-time basis (0.6 FTE). This is an opportunity for either an experienced, well qualified teacher or an exceptional ECT.

The successful candidate will: 

  • be highly motivated, enthusiastic and have the ability to inspire pupils. 
  • be accomplished in your current role 
  • deliver the highest quality educational experience for our children 
  • be wholly dedicated to safeguarding pupils. 
  • work alongside a supportive team of professionals within the school

Sir John Leman High School, situated in the historic market town of Beccles, Suffolk, on the edge of the Norfolk Broads, is a mixed comprehensive secondary school and sixth form. The pupil roll is around 1,400, with some 160 of these students moving on to the school’s sixth form.
