Cardinal Newman School is an 11-19 comprehensive school with Specialist Science Status, serving the Roman Catholic community in Luton and Dunstable. We are one of the most successful schools in Luton and have a thriving 6th form with 300 students. We have been consistently described by Ofsted as a ‘good’ school and under Section 48 as an ‘outstanding Catholic school’.
We are currently looking for a dynamic, passionate and inspirational teacher who has excellent subject knowledge and is able to contribute to the continued improvements in progress and student attainment within our successful and experienced Performing Arts Department.
As Teacher of Music, you will play a key role delivering challenging and well-organised lessons, teaching with expertise using an appropriate range of strategies and resources.
The successful candidate will:
- Teach Music from Year 7 to Year 11
- Contribute as part of the Performing Arts team to curriculum development
- Be able to communicate their love for Music to students of all abilities
- Offer a dynamic extra curricular programme to inspire future musicians (recruitment and retention incentive for experienced practitioners)
This is a full time post from September 2024 and offers a fantastic opportunity for professional development. This vacancy is open to both newly qualified and experienced teachers.
