Teacher of Music job summary

Required for September 2024. Stopsley High School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, high quality teacher of Music. The role would be suitable for an Early Careers Teacher (ECT) or an experienced classroom practitioner. We would consider applicants who are looking for a full time or part time post.

The successful candidate will be joining an energetic, forward thinking and highly ambitious team in a supportive school that values the Arts. This is demonstrated in the curriculum time offered in KS3.

They will demonstrate real enthusiasm for both teaching classroom Music and for driving extracurricular provision and participation. Candidates should be able to show strong subject pedagogy and a willingness to work to make an already established department even stronger. There is a full programme of Induction, CPD and ECT support available.


Stopsley High School has been on a rapid improvement journey which included academising in September 2021 and joining the Middlesex Learning Trust. The School has benefitted from collaborative networking across the three schools, opportunities to showcase best practice and access to innovative training opportunities. All of this hard work culminated in an incredibly positive Ofsted in September 2022, in which the school was graded as “Good” in all five areas.
