Job role: Teacher of Music
We are seeking to appoint a motivated and inspirational Teacher of Music from September 2026. This is an opportunity for a teacher to become part of our supportive Creatives Department. This post is offered on a part-time (0.6), permanent role
The successful candidate will have the ability to teach across all age and ability ranges. You will be an effective classroom teacher with the ability to raise the achievement of all students and be keen to play a full part in the life of the school. As part of the Creatives Faculty, you will develop and run weekly extra-curricular activities for students.

City Heights E-ACT Academy is a small secondary school providing high-quality education from Year 7 to Year 11, which aims to transform the lives of all the children who attend the school. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and high-quality music lessons across Key Stages Inspire students with a broad, inclusive, and ambitious music curriculum Teach practical and theoretical elements of music, including performance, composition, and listening skills Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners Assess and track student progress, providing clear feedback to support achievement Contribute to enrichment opportunities such as concerts, performances, and extracurricular clubs Support whole-school events and promote a strong culture of creativity
Pay range: M1 - U3 (Inner London) £40,317 - £62,496
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Has a strong subject knowledge and passion for music education
Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all students
Can inspire and motivate young people of all abilities
Has strong organisational and communication skills
Is committed to inclusive practice and raising achievement
Is willing to contribute to the wider life of the academy
