Are you a passionate and creative Music teacher ready to inspire the next generation of musicians? Collingwood College is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Music to join our thriving and ambitious Performing Arts Department at an exciting point in its development.

This post is part-time (0.5 FTE), with the possibility of a full-time role for the right candidate. We welcome applications from Early Career Teachers, experienced teachers, or those returning to the profession after a career break.

Our curriculum balances theoretical understanding with practical music-making, and our extensive extracurricular programme includes choir, rock bands, West African drumming, school productions, open mic nights, showcases and instrumental tuition.

The Performing Arts Department

You will join a collaborative and supportive Performing Arts team of five specialists across Music, Drama and Dance, all working together to deliver high-quality outcomes and a rich cultural experience for students. Creativity, innovation and teamwork are central to our ethos.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Is passionate about Music and committed to high-quality teaching and learning
  • Can inspire students of all abilities through engaging, practical lessons
  • Values collaboration and contributes positively to department and school life
  • Has QTS (or equivalent) and the enthusiasm to continually develop their practice
