Finham Park School is seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Music to join our thriving department. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach students who are highly motivated, many of whom hold graded instrumental qualifications and have a genuine passion for music. Over 130 students currently study an instrument privately, and all Year 7 students enjoy a taster lesson on an instrument of their choice as part of our inclusive and engaging curriculum.
The Music Department-
Students study practical musicianship through learning an instrument using Rock School materials, supported by a well-resourced classroom with dedicated practice rooms.

Additional ensemble rehearsal spaces allow more able students to work independently and collaboratively.

From Year 7, students learn to compose using Flat.io, supported by a 32-computer music suite that blends creativity and digital learning.

We offer Eduqas Music at both GCSE and A Level, with excellent uptake and progression into the Sixth Form.

Finham Park is a popular and successful 11 -18 comprehensive school situated in the south-west of Coventry. It has an excellent reputation within the local community as well as nationally and internationally with our staff are both dedicated and highly qualified. The school was accredited as a World Class School in 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2021.
Ofsted described the school as a place where there is a strong culture of learning and a proven track record of academic success, with students consistently making above average national levels of progress in their studies in both Key Stages 4 and 5. The behaviour of the students is Outstanding.
