Teacher of Music (Fixed Term / Maternity Cover) job summary
*Havelock Academy* is now recruiting for a Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) Teacher of Music. This role could be your next career opportunity. The position would commence from January 2026 or possibly sooner, for up to one year (exact length not yet confirmed).

About the role
The purpose of this role is to plan and delivery high quality music lessons to students in key stage 3 and to take on the role of form tutor for a key stage 3 tutor group. Contribution to the extensive music enrichment programme would also be an expectation.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for a musician who loves teaching young people and is prepared to fully engage with life at the academy, including being a part of a house and supporting our wide music and performing arts enrichment programme. The successful candidate will ideally hold qualified teacher status and have some experience delivering music lessons at key stage 3. The position is open to newly qualified teachers as well as those with more experience.
