Outwood Academy Acklam, Middlesbrough is looking to appoint a passionate, enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Music to join our amazing Performing Arts Department.
Outwood Academy Acklam, the first Outwood school in Teesside, has an enrollment of almost 1200 students each academic year. In its most recent assessment, it was recognized as a GOOD school with EXCEPTIONAL leadership.

About the Department
The Performing Arts Department consists of a small team of dedicated colleagues with access to amazing facilities; large theatre, music practice rooms and brand new, dedicated drama rooms. The department is also supported by One to One Music Tutors.
About the Role:
As a subject teacher you will be required to complete the professional duties that are expected of a UK qualified Teacher in accordance with academy policies and procedures and your subject specialism.
You should promote the achievement of high standards through effective teaching and learning within your subject area, including the preparation, application and development of lesson resources in alignment with the curriculum, as directed by your department head and senior leaders within the academy.
You will be responsible for effective classroom management and the coordinator of class work with any classroom support staff that are present. You must evaluate lessons and incorporate student views and responses to reflect and identify areas of development.
