Are you a dedicated and highly effective educator committed to raising the achievement of all students within your subject area? Join us as a Teacher, where you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality learning, utilising a range of teaching and learning strategies to ensure student success.
This position requires a professional who is aware of strategies for improving learning, understands curriculum developments, and is creative in finding solutions to enhance student performance.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Music to work in our Expressive Arts Faculty. The successful candidate will be joining a thriving department in which all KS3 students receive a one-hour lesson per week and we have large numbers taking the AQA GCSE and A level Music courses. Led by a head of faculty with over 30 years of experience, together with an established team of 10 Dance, Drama, Art and Photography teachers, our staff receives unparalleled support and encouragement to evolve as practitioners.
Achieving theGold Artsmark award is testament to the strength and value placed on the Arts at Outwood Academy Portland and it's reputation within the community. We offer countless opportunities for students to perform, in termly concerts, featuring our Concert Band, Brass Group, String group, and Rock Bands Choir. We also take part in Music Festivals,trust-wide concerts, and masterclasses, all of which contribute to the high numbers receiving lessons from our inspiring team of 7 peripatetic teachers.
Our Music department is extremely well equipped enabling us to expose students to the most varied and exciting musical curriculum. There are two classrooms equipped with keyboards and computers plus all orchestral instruments, class set of djembes, and Rock Band instruments.
