Teacher of Music job summary
We would like to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Music to join our successful and committed team.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach Music from KS3 through to KS5 and incorporate Music Technology into KS3 and KS4 We offer Edexcel GCSE Music at KS4 and Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Music Performance at KS5. We are also proud of our extensive extra-curricular provision and, working closely alongside the Drama department, produce full-scale school productions and musicals each year. Music also plays a central role in our termly masses and wider electives programme, including opportunities such as Digital Music Production, Singing Club and instrumental ensembles. The department is keen to take up performance opportunities and experiences for our students in the local area and, as such, students have performed as part of the Eton Carol Service in St George’s Chapel and at Slough Town Football Stadium in recent years.

Our GCSE results in Summer 2025 were exceptionally strong, with 68% of students achieving Grade 4+ in English and Maths, and 43% achieving Grade 5+ in English and Maths and an overall Progress 8 score of +0.45.
