What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of Physical Education to join our committed team. You will deliver high-quality, inclusive PE lessons across Years 7-13, contributing to the School’s extensive extra-curricular programme. The postholder will be an enthusiastic, reflective and collaborative educator who inspires pupils to lead active, healthy and purposeful lives. We welcome applications from qualified PE Teachers or ECTs with a strong passion for teaching and learning.

Due to supervision requirements in the female changing rooms, we would particularly welcome applications from female PE practitioners.

The PE Department is committed to creating a supportive environment where professional development, learning from each other and sharing good practice is at the heart of the department. As a valued member of our team, you will maintain high expectations for both student achievement and behaviour.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
  • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/tutor
  • To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to accelerate with their learning.
  • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment across the school.
  • To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.

You will need:

  • QTS Status
  • Good Hons Degree in supporting subjects
  • Willingness to undertake further CPD
