About the PE Department:

We are dedicated to promoting physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, and overall well-being among students. Our mission is to inspire students to develop lifelong habits of physical activity and to understand the importance of health and wellness. Every child can take part in and enjoy PE given the correct environment and learning experiences, which our curriculum map embodies. Our curriculum map is designed to allow children to transfer their skills and knowledge learnt into everyday life. We focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, ensuring that every student finds an activity they enjoy. he PE department offers a range of extracurricular activities, including sports teams in basketball, netball and football. Our teams have achieved notable success in regional competitions. We also offer after-school programs and clubs for students interested in specific sports such as trampolining and cricket.

Ellis Guilford School is a mixed secondary school, catering for children between the ages of 11 and 16 years and located in Old Basford, Nottingham.

Since November 2018 we have been part of the Creative Education Trust. This has enabled the school to rigorously pursue rapid improvement for the children we teach.
