About The School
Manor Abbey School is a provision for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils with an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties.
The school is opened in Abbey Hulton, Stoke on Trent, in September 2024. There was an initial intake of 30 pupils in year 7 and 8; and the school will progressively fill over 4 years until it reaches its capacity of 70 places.
About The Role
We are looking appoint an ambitious, steadfast and qualified teacher who can deliver Physical Education alongside classroom based subjects.
The Successful Candidate will Provide / Deliver
- High expectations of academic achievement
- A successful track record of motivating young people
- Well planned, sequenced, innovative and engaging lessons
- Clear direction and support for teaching assistants
- An awareness of trauma informed practices and positive mental health promotion
- A clear understanding of, and ability to, manage behaviour that challenges
- Subject leadership of a subject as directed by SLT
