What skills and experience we're looking for

You will work alongside a team of well-established UTC staff within the faculty of Sport and Health Sciences to continue to develop the UTC as a centre of excellence focusing on Computing, Sport and Health Sciences. Together under the direction of the Curriculum Directors you will support the delivery of a range of vocational qualifications including Level 2 OCR Cambridge Nationals and Level 3 OCR Cambridge Technicals. Qualification specifications can be found in the curriculum information sheet found on the UTC website. Staff may be required to teach other subjects within the faculty, therefore experience and/or a willingness to teach Health and Social Care, and/or Social Sciences would be a distinct advantage, but not essential.

You will be a highly skilled practitioner who understands the challenges of educating 13-19 year olds in an employer-led technology rich environment. Effective partnership working is absolutely critical to the UTC’s success, therefore any pre-existing links to organisations or companies within the sector would be advantageous. We also welcome applications from newly qualified teachers who have the skills and attributes to develop their expertise within our unique environment.

We are looking for engaging and inspirational individuals. Resilient, driven and focused who will help establish a pioneering institution at the heart of the Sheffield City Region and its communities.
