Teacher of PE with some Health & Social Care (part-time) job summary
We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic teacher of PE with some Health & Social Care at Holderness Academy & Sixth Form College to cover a colleague’s maternity leave, 19.5 hours per week.

The appointed person will consistently deliver high-quality learning opportunities to young people, ensuring aspirational standards of behaviour, engagement and achievement are evident at all times, while contributing to the calm environment of the Academy.
Classroom teachers must ensure they work within the policies and procedures as laid out by the Trust and provide a good role model for young people, both in and out of the school environment. All teaching staff are expected to meet the national core standards for professionals at all times.
About You
You will have good subject knowledge along with a record of successful professional practice and be able to plan and deliver high quality teaching in a relevant specialist area. You will also have experience of working with children and young people, an awareness of, and commitment to, safeguarding practices and behaviour management strategies.

Holderness Academy & Sixth Form College is a large comprehensive school with 1108 students on roll, including 105 in the Sixth Form. The Academy is situated in the East Riding of Yorkshire and located in the small village of Preston. It sits six miles to the East of Hull and one mile from the town of Hedon.

On 1 October 2018, Holderness Academy and Sixth Form College (formerly South Holderness Technology College) joined a multi academy trust, ‘The Consortium Academy Trust’ (TCAT). TCAT currently comprises of six secondary schools and two primary schools, as well as two associate members, with a total of approximately 8,000 learners and a significant staff team.
