Teacher of Performing Arts job summary

We are currently seeking an imaginative, creative and inspirational teacher in this role to deliver an engaging Performing Arts curriculum. The successful candidate will be joining us at an exciting time in the school’s journey. The school joined the Matrix Academy Trust in May 2021. Major changes to systems and structures have already been established and the school is on a steep upward trajectory. As the school continues to go from strength to strength we need to build more capacity in this department. The school has modern and well-equipped Performing Arts spaces including; a dedicated Dance studio with high quality sound system, Drama space with gallery seating for performances, Music classrooms and separate practice rooms with a large range of instruments. You must be able to demonstrate: • A proven track record of raising attainment through their teaching and learning • Teach Dance, Drama, Music or a combination of these subjects up to KS4 • In depth subject knowledge of subject specialism • A passion to make a difference in pupils’ lives • Understanding of both GCSE, and vocational course structure is desirable We will offer you: • Excellent pupil behaviour • A caring and inclusive school with supportive, enthusiastic and dedicated colleagues and parents • A supportive Senior Leadership Team, committed to providing quality continuing professional development and support • A positive and innovative learning environment
