Teacher of Performing Arts job summary
We are currently seeking an imaginative, creative and inspirational teacher in this role to deliver an engaging Performing Arts curriculum. The successful candidate will be joining us at an exciting time in the school’s journey. The school joined the Matrix Academy Trust in May 2021. Major changes to systems and structures have already been established and the school is on a steep upward trajectory. As the school continues to go from strength to strength we need to build more capacity in this department.
The school has modern and well-equipped Performing Arts spaces including; a dedicated Dance studio with high quality sound system, Drama space with gallery seating for performances, Music classrooms and separate practice rooms with a large range of instruments.
You must be able to demonstrate:
• A proven track record of raising attainment through their teaching and learning
• Teach Dance, Drama, Music or a combination of these subjects up to KS4
• In depth subject knowledge of subject specialism
• A passion to make a difference in pupils’ lives
• Understanding of both GCSE, and vocational course structure is desirable

Turves Green Boys’ School has recently joined Matrix Academy Trust. We are a Trust with five schools, 4,600 children, nearly 600 staff and a passion for school improvement. All of our schools have improved in Ofsted terms since joining the Trust. Our aim will be to work with pupils, parents and staff at Turves Green Boys’ to support the many improvements that have taken place since the school was placed in special measures.
