What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a teacher of Physical Education to start in September 2024 on a permanent basis. The post is suitable for an experienced teacher or an ECT.
We are looking for an
excellent practitioner who can teach throughout Key
Stages 3-5. A
proven track record of strong teaching and a commitment to continued
professional learning and development are essential. The successful applicant will
able to inspire learners and demonstrate highly effective
practice and must be willing to teach GCSE and
A-Level PE, and take a role in driving extra-curricular sports. The school
offers a very personal and professionally supportive environment.
What the school offers its staff
Allestree Woodlands School is a popular and successful 11-18 school, providing high quality education for 1450 students (200+ in the sixth form). The school is situated on the northern edge of the city of Derby in a very pleasant setting overlooking the Kedleston Hall National Trust estate. We work as a great team together and are committed to the continuing professional development of all colleagues. GCSE and A Level PE are popular and successful subjects.
