Teacher of Physical Education job summary
After our recent OFSTED rating of ‘GOOD’; Bloxwich Academy is currently looking to appoint a Teacher of PE to join our School starting in Easter 2022. The PE Department has a strong reputation for success with pupils making outstanding levels of progress at all key stages. The successful candidate will be fully committed to raising achievements and expectations, involved in curriculum innovation, and deploying a wide range of teaching strategies to ensure that every pupil achieves their full potential.

Quality curriculum really matters to us; it is the beating heart of our school and so we are therefore expecting the right candidate to be passionate about developing and shaping the quality of education in PE, where knowledge and subject-specific skills are at the centre of the PE curriculum. We are on an exciting journey at Bloxwich Academy and are looking for the right person to join our team, bringing innovative ideas and excellent teaching practice to an already experienced team.
We are looking for someone who:
Is a good or outstanding classroom practitioner with a good understanding of how children learn.
Has a proven track record of raising attainment through their teaching and learning, making a positive impact within and beyond their own classroom.
Will help improve the quality of learning in PE.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate, inspire, lead and support colleagues.
Has a commitment to working strategically as part of a team and working collaboratively with the Leadership Team, colleagues and parents.
Has a clear vision and commitment to school improvement.
Is an outstanding teacher who inspires colleagues and students.
Has the energy, drive and commitment to make a real contribution to whole school.
Is interested in supporting the DofE Programme
Has a flexible and positive approach to work
