Teacher of Physical

Part-time (approximately 0.6 FTE, but negotiable)

We are seeking a well-qualified and inspirational Teacher of
Physical Education to join our dedicated and enthusiastic PE department.
The successful candidate would be expected to specialise in PE teaching across Years 7-11. This post is offered as a part-time role (approximately 0.6 FTE) but
with scope for negotiation over the number of hours and working pattern. The ability to teach one or more additional subjects would
be advantageous. We welcome applications from teachers at any stage of their
career, including ECTs, who feel that they could contribute to the success of the school. The post has been created in order to
meet a growing demand for PE teaching due to the expansion of the school and
the increased popularity of the subject at GCSE and A Level. This is a fixed
term post of in the first instance, until 31st August 2023, with the
opportunity to extend the contract by mutual agreement thereafter.
Langley Grammar School is a co-educational 11-18 selective
school with academy status, located within easy reach of Langley station and
the M4.The school was inspected by Ofsted in November
2021, and was graded outstanding in all categories. We have approximately 1240 students,
over 330 of whom are in the Sixth Form. The school is heavily
over-subscribed and draws students from a wide geographical area and range of
backgrounds. Alongside promoting excellent academic outcomes, our school ethos
supports students to become confident and well rounded, independent and
creative, responsible and caring. Our students are capable, hardworking and a

current building programme was completed in autumn 2021. We enjoy fantastic new
teaching spaces and communal areas.
