Teacher of Physical Education job summary
The Bishop Wand School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivational Teacher of Physical Education for September 2021.
This position is for a part time role (60/100ths – 3 days per week).
The position is available for NQTs and experienced teachers who are passionate about PE. The successful candidate will also be required to teach a second subject, with preference for Humanities, Modern Foreign Languages, Maths or Science being given.
The PE Faculty is a large team of excellent and supportive teachers who bring energy and enthusiasm to the delivery of their subject. The right candidate will have the ambition and desire to play a significant role in the further development of the Faculty. The ability to teach a wide range of sports across different key stages and support our extensive extra-curricular programme is essential.
You will enjoy the use of excellent facilities including a swimming pool, modern sports hall, fitness suite, sprung-floored dance studios, a second-generation multipurpose Astroturf pitch, and tennis court as well as ample grass pitches. The School also has the use of the facilities at the onsite Spelthorne Gym, home to British, European and World Champions in acrobatics and tumbling.
