Teacher of Physical Education
Required for September 2021, an enthusiastic, well-qualified and successful classroom practitioner to teach PE at KS3, KS4 and KS5. We are looking for a colleague who has a real passion for their subject, who is able to enthuse and motivate students and for someone who has high standards. ‘Colfox’ has a reputation for excellence in sport that extends far beyond the county. We are interested to hear from people with a wide range of interests but are especially keen to continue to develop girl’s participation in a range of team and individual sports.
The candidate will be joining a department of 4 specialist teachers and a school sports coordinator who manages primary partnerships and leadership programmes. PE is a very popular curriculum subject in the school from 11-19 and we offer GCSE, A Level and the BTEC National Level 3 Extended Diploma. This is a great time to join our school as we consolidate links with the three feeder primary schools which form part of our Multi-Academy Trust (The Minerva Learning Trust). We work closely with colleagues across the MLT, sharing ideas about assessment, literacy, numeracy and other areas of pedagogy. We are members of the Jurassic Coast Teaching Alliance, which enables us to participate in a diverse range of initiatives. We are an outwardly facing school in a beautiful part of the country and have strong links with our local community as a Rights Respecting School. The school buildings and its PE facilities (including a full size floodlight all weather pitch and a four court badminton sportshall) are excellent.
