Teacher of Physics and/or Biology job summary

We are a thriving, diverse, and forward-thinking school that fosters a passion for learning and scientific inquiry. We are committed to developing students who are curious, knowledgeable, and critical thinkers, offering a broad curriculum that combines the IB Diploma and Middle Years Programmes with GCSEs. All Sixth Form students take at least one science subject, with a large proportion of sixth form students choosing to study science related subjects at university.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Physics and/or Biology to teach up to and including Key Stage 5. This role is available as a full-time or part-time position.

Our Science Faculty is at the heart of our commitment to academic excellence and innovation. We provide a stimulating and well-resourced learning environment where students engage with scientific concepts and develop essential practical skills. Science teachers at Hockerill are able to specialise at Key Stage 4 and 5, with most teachers taking general science classes in Key Stage 3.

This post is open to both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers who hold a UK-recognised teaching qualification for ages 11-18. If you haven’t taught the IB diploma or Middle Years Programme, don’t be put off—full training and support will be provided. What matters most is your passion for science teaching and your ability to inspire students!

We look forward to your application!
