Position: Teacher of Physics
Location: On site, Westbury-on-Trym BS9 3BA
Hours: This is a full-time permanent position
Start date: 1 September 2026

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Physics to join our Science department.
Main responsibilities include:
• To teach Physics in an interesting and challenging manner enabling each pupil to realise her potential
• To stimulate and foster enthusiasm for Physics within the school
• Prepare lessons taking account of the pupils’ abilities within each teaching group/set
• Participate in the development of appropriate specifications, materials and schemes of work
To be considered for this position, we are looking for the following:
• Applicants must have appropriate academic qualifications for the role, which for most teaching posts means a good degree in the subject
• Applicants should have qualified teacher status
• Experience of working with young people in some capacity
• Successful applicants should demonstrate a clear understanding of their subject and have an ability to employ a range of effective teaching styles and assessment methods
