Teacher of Physics job summary

Pioneer Educational Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, forward-thinking and outstanding teaching practitioner to the post of Teacher of Physics at Upton Court Grammar School. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of outstanding teaching and offer a variety of extra-curricular activities for our students. The successful candidate must be able to contribute to the department’s aim of providing the highest standards of student achievement in Key Stage three, four and Sixth Form. The ability to teach a second Science to GCSE would be desirable. We believe that a diverse workforce leads to an organisation that is more innovative, more creative and gets better results. The successful candidate will:  Teach any Science in Key Stage 3 (KS3 is taught in two years);  Be able to teach across Key Stages 4 & 5 in Physics;  Have a willingness to extend and develop their subject knowledge;  Have a collaborative approach to teaching with the ability to deliver the subject through a variety of innovative ways;  Have working knowledge of Health & Safety;  Have a passion for different areas of the Physics curriculum and the ability to share this with young people;  Be able to develop the use of technology within the subject;  Be willing to offer extra support through clubs, visits and enrichment classes.
