Teacher of Psychology job summary

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Psychology with the ability to produce excellent results. Psychology is an integral part of the Humanities faculty and a popular subject at A-level. You would be joining both a successful and welcoming team that is dynamic and dedicated to supporting teachers to develop and challenge themselves professionally

You will have the ability to excite and motivate young people, be committed to bringing imaginative ideas into the classroom and be able to turn students with promise into skillful, successful and independent learners.

Applications are welcome from both NQTs and more experienced colleagues. We offer an excellent NQT support programme with a bespoke schedule of training and mentors.

The role and responsibilities include:
● Provision of high quality teaching of Psychology
● Teaching of another social science or humanities subject (possible)
● Raising student attainment
● Assessing, recording and reporting on student progress
● Supporting the vision and values of the school

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
● The ability to teach Psychology at KS5 – the ability to teach another social science or humanities subject would be an advantage
● Up to date teaching methodology
● An ability to work confidently within a team and communicate effectively
● A passion for inspiring young people to attain the highest level possible
