Details
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Psychology Teacher to join our dedicated team at The Appleton School. As a KS5 Psychology specialist, you will play a key role in inspiring students to explore human behaviour, develop strong analytical skills, and engage with psychological theory and research. We are looking for an individual who can deliver engaging, challenging lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and academic excellence at A‑Level.
Principal Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality, engaging, and differentiated Psychology lessons at KS5, ensuring all students are supported and challenged to achieve their full potential.
- Establish a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident to explore complex psychological concepts, debates, and research methods.
- Use a range of teaching strategies, resources, and technologies to enhance learning and meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative methods, providing timely, constructive feedback to support academic growth and exam success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the Psychology curriculum, contributing to departmental meetings, enrichment activities, and cross‑curricular initiatives.
